06

Ready to share

A PDF you can send straight to your roofer, insurance company, property manager or buyer.

Reading Thermal Images

How to read the colors

A thermal camera shows surface temperature. Brighter colors are warmer, darker colors are cooler. What matters is not the color itself, but areas that look different from the rest of the roof.

Bright / warm patchesCan point to heat escaping, or wet insulation holding heat after a sunny day.
Dark / cool patchesCan point to cold air getting in, moisture, or areas that cool down faster than the rest.
Sharp patterns and linesOften show framing, seams, vents and flashing, useful for spotting gaps and weak points.
CoolerWarmer

Thermal findings show where to look closer. Anything flagged is explained in your report and can be confirmed on site by a roofer or contractor.
